ribbon sweater || i wear

//jacket - Tate (Korea)//

//sweater - basement shopping center in Seoul (Jonggak Station)
//jeans - UNIQLO//
//desert shoes - Toms//

The weather is being emotional right now. One day it's hot and sunny, the next it's all grey and gloomy and today was sunny but very cold!

I'm still getting used to my new glasses. I'm not sure if they really suit my face.

This is one of my favorite sweaters of all time. I bought it a while ago in Seoul at a subway station and fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It's a comfy wool sweater but has all these cute little ribbons on it. I'm such an elitist sometimes. I love that it's a rare item.

I really need to get a hair cut but I love the brown at the bottom. It gets really knotty even with conditioner. What should I do? I dyed my hair back in June 2010 and I  guess I've never completely cut it all off. Now I'm trying to grow my hair with a friend so that we can donate it. Since it looks awesome I'll keep it and just deal with the damaged knottiness. Any tips to make it less knotty?

warby parker glasses || fashion

I love Warby Parker! Pictured above is the new Spring 2012 collection. I have yet to order a pair of glasses but my friend was wearing them yesterday and they looked amazing. You can't go wrong with paying only $95 for the lens AND frame PLUS free shipping and FREE returns. Did you know they also give away a pair to someone in need of glasses every time you buy pair.

I have terrible eyes and always hope for my eyes to miraculously heal, but for now I'll enjoy wearing fun and unique glasses when I have to. Go check them out and support this awesome company that benefits me and you.

Enjoy

the most comfortable outfit || i wear

//sweater - random boutique in Seoul//
//jeans - Mavi Jeans//
//black suede desert boots - Toms//

I really don't like standing in front of the camera since I'd rather be behind the camera so that's why I look really awkward.

This is one of my favorite sweaters that I bought in Korea. It's so random and different. I love that the sleeves are two different colours. It's comfy as well.  I like to own pieces knowing that I won't run into someone who'll wear the same thing that I am. I have yet to see this on someone else!

I've had these jeans since October 2009. Amazingly they've lasted for more than 2 years. Although there is a small tear in them, they're still wearable. I knew that spending a lot on them was worth it. I refuse to pay for cheap jeans anymore because I'd rather have a good pair that I can wear for more than 2 years instead of buying a new jeans every few months.

The shoes... oh my. I feel like I'm walking on clouds when I wear them. I have abnormally small feet so it was a miracle that Toms' size 5 fit me! So comfortable and they go with almost any outfit. I think they'll be my go-to shoes.

I guess this is all my favorite pieces put together. I think that's the most important when it comes to fashion. Wear what you makes you feel the most comfortable!

first outfit post (kind of) || i wear

Ok, it's not a full outfit since I don't really show you my footwear. I just really liked this shirt so I asked my lovely friend Melody to take some pictures of me. Can I tell you something? I felt so silly asking her to take pictures of me. But luckily she's such a comfortable girl that it made the experience a lot better. You gotta start somewhere right? Who your photographer is really does make a difference!

//boots - Le Bunny Bleu//

As soon as I saw this shirt I knew I had to get it. I'm in love with anything lace these days. I thought the neckline was perfect. It wasn't too low or too high. As I wrote out where each item was from I realized that I can't get ANY of these in Canada. With the limited time I have left here this makes me want to get as much as I can before I go! Did I mention that the lace is SOFT and fuzzy. Yea, its pretty cool.

shimmery hair accessories || fashion

Barrette for 5,000KRW

Simple shimmery golden hairband for 4,000KRW. It comes in other colors as well.

There is a store called Apportion in Korea. Such a strange name for what it sells. It's a hair accessory store. I'm not an accessory girl, but I love hair accessories. Some of their products are overpriced, but I've definitely noticed that their quality is much better than the accessories they sell on the streets.

There are two located in Itaewon. This one above is the bigger one. Just go out of exit 4 and walk straight toward Noksapyeong station.

wooly, red cardigan

 This is one of my favorite sweater cardigans. I bought it in Seoul in 이대 (Ewha Womans University). There's a small vintage store in one of the alleyways. It cost about 10,000krw which is less than $10usd. I love the four gold buttons on it at the bottom. The neck (which I forgot to get a picture of) is a really low V line. I love the intricate weaving going on the sleeve. It's a fun sweater to wear on warm, gloomy days.

hailing a bus || Project 366

{20/366 - hailing a bus}
Waiting for a bus in Gangnam in Seoul. One of the most busiest places to be in Seoul on a Saturday. This bus stop is so hectic that you have to step out in order for the bus to stop for you. To survive in Seoul, you need to learn how to hail a bus.

Aren't these socks lovely? Only in Korea....

Nice Jeans || Project 366

{16/366 - nice jeans}
Being as short as I am (151cm) it's hard to come across a really good pair of jeans. I found that whenever I bought jeans that only cost me $30 - $40 they'd rip really fast. So in 2009 I went against everything I believed in and purchased a pair of Mavi jeans that cost me more than jeans should cost. But they lasted until now. I took a picture of them and am sharing this picture because I can't wear them until I figure out a way to fix them. I discovered a hole in them. I refuse to throw them away so that means I'll need to come up with a solution.
